Who We Are - XVAcademy

XVAcademy is a high-performance football academy based in Galway City, focused on developing young players in a professional, structured, and enjoyable environment.

Founded by UEFA A Licenced Coach Xavi Vázquez, alongside professional footballer and UEFA A Licence Coach Conor O'Keeffe, and football development specialist Francis Kelly, XVAcademy was created to provide children and young players with access to high-quality coaching and structured development from an early age.

Our sessions focus on technical development, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment. At preschool level, our priority is creating a fun and engaging introduction to football, allowing every child to participate regardless of their previous experience.

Pricing and Booking

The cost of the programme is €7.50 per child per 40-minute session, with one session taking place each week throughout the agreed programme period.

To make things simple for parents, fees are collected monthly rather than after each individual session. The total programme cost is calculated and spread evenly across the relevant months, giving parents a consistent monthly payment even when the number of sessions varies from month to month due to holidays or the number of weeks in a particular month.

All registrations, bookings and payments are managed directly by XVAcademy through our app. Parents simply create an account, add their child's profile and payment details, and book their place.

The preschool does not need to collect payments, manage registrations, or chase fees. XVAcademy handles the administration from start to finish, allowing the preschool to simply facilitate the weekly session while our coaches take care of the football.

XVA Weekly Preschool Football Training

We are delighted to introduce our fully managed weekly football programme for children attending preschool, designed to give young children the opportunity to develop their football skills, stay active, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

The programme consists of one 40-minute football session each week, delivered at the preschool by qualified XVAcademy coaches. Sessions are designed specifically for young children, with a strong focus on fun, movement, coordination, confidence, and developing a love for the game.

The programme is fully managed by XVAcademy, with minimal administration required from the creche. We manage registrations, payments, and parent communication directly.

Weekly Training Sessions

Sessions will take place once per week, every week, during the agreed programme period.

Each session is structured around games, movement, ball activities, and simple football skills. The aim is to keep children active and engaged while naturally developing their coordination, confidence, listening skills, and ability to work as part of a group.

A Great Introduction To Football

Our goal is simple: to make football fun from the very beginning. The sessions give children the opportunity to be active, learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy playing football with their friends, all within the familiar environment of their preschool.

The programme is designed to be fun, inclusive, low-pressure, and suitable for all abilities, helping children develop a positive relationship with sport from an early age.

Child Safeguarding, Safety, & Insurance

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. All XVAcademy coaches are Garda vetted. Our coaches follow appropriate safeguarding procedures and professional standards when delivering sessions, with child welfare and safety at the centre of our programme. Sessions are delivered by experienced coaches in a structured and supervised environment, with clear procedures in place for attendance, communication with the preschool, and dealing with any concerns or incidents.

XVAcademy also carries appropriate public liability insurance for the delivery of our football coaching activities. We are committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and positive environment for every child, while giving parents and preschool management peace of mind that sessions are being delivered responsibly and to a high standard.
